 I am seeing lot of queries raised in QA sessions about not being able use the arrow keys in MS excel. 

If your keyboard works perfectly then this issue is due to SCROLL LOCK button. You may have accidentally tapped scroll lock button. Simply press the SCROLL LOCK button located between Print screen and PAUSE Keys. Then your arrow keys will work perfectly.
